In this technology era, there are a lot of "high-tech" tools which can do anything. Machines are like human now, it can understand the human conversation. Actually, a machine not literally "understand" in human conversation, it just merely stimulating the ability to understand human language said John Searle after he did an experiment in artificial intelligence research (Wikipedia, Chinese Room).
One of machine which has an artificial intelligence so that it can understand human conversation is Cleverbot (visit Cleverbot.com).
Cleverbot is a web application which design to converse with humans. It can understand what we say and react by giving an argument about our conversation. Cleverbot's responses are not programmed, it "learns" from human input (Wikipedia, Cleverbot).
Now, cleverbot has a lot of version like cleverlips, cleverscript, etc. There's also avatar, which not just reacted to our conversation by text but also by audio (visit existor.com). Just try an artificial intelligence app and talk with them when you currently have no friends to talk to.
